Have you ever seen where someone took control of the situation by keeping a very clear vision and mission of the goals, and an ability to spread the aura to the rest of the group to feel recharged and energized? This person just might be what is called a transformational leader.
Transformational leadership can be defined based on the impact that it has on followers. Transformational leaders are generally enthusiastic, passionate, energetic, and positive. They create a vision for their followers and lead the change through motivation and inspiration. They are excellent role models. These leaders are involved in the process; they also focus on helping members of the group to succeed.
Transformational Leadership is comprised of four different components.
Intellectual Stimulation: Transformational leaders challenge the status quo; they encourage creativity among followers. They also inspire followers to discover new ways of doing things and new prospects to learn.
Individualized Consideration: Transformational leadership includes contribution support and reassurance to individual followers. In order to foster supportive relationships, transformational leaders possess communication open so that followers feel free to convey ideas and so that leaders can offer a direct appreciation of the exclusive contributions of each follower.
Inspirational Motivation: Transformational leaders are having a clear vision that they are able to explain to followers. These leaders are able to support the follower’s involvement with the same passion and motivation to fulfill their goals.
Idealized Influence: The transformational leader serves as a role model for groups. Since the groups trust and admire the leader, they emulate this individual and adopt his or her principles.
So, the group led by a transformational leader tends to be successful and loyal. They care deeply about the group’s ability and give a lot of guidance to the team to accomplish its goals. Employee turnover tends to be quite low as transformational leaders are able to encourage a boundless deal of commitment in their followers.
Transformational leaders… are those who stimulate and encourage followers to both accomplish extraordinary results and, in the process, advance their individual leadership dimensions. Transformational leaders help followers to cultivate and develop into leaders by replying to individual followers’ wishes by empowering them and by the line up the objectives and goals of the individual followers, the leader, the group, and the larger organization. The transformational leadership style always has a positive impact on the group. The group is led by transformational leaders who have a high level of satisfaction, performance, and engagement.
